Stockton Parent Support

Welcome to the Cleveland Challenge Website

Here you will find information about the Cleveland Challenge, which Stockton Parent Support have recently taken over.

The four aims of Stockton Parent Support are:
-To provide information
-To provide support for disabled children and their families
-To set up activities for mainstream and disabled children 8-19 years old
-To provide opportunities for participation for parents and disabled children and young people.

The Cleveland Challenge is a new venture for us and we feel lucky that the group who ran the challenge wanted to hand it on! If the challenge is succesful in sponsorship and fund raising it could raise a tenth of our annual budget. This makes us less dependent on restricted funding and will give us the chance to create some new services for disabled children and young people particularly around independence and developing skills.

Pictures from previous

years

Photographs teams have taken from previous years. Examples of previous tasks which can be found at different checkpoints throughout the weekend can be seen in the photographs.

Challenge 2008 is a sponsored two-day adventure trek in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park in an attempt to raise sponsorship to help a variety of charities. Teams will walk around 30 miles in the North Yorkshire area, with a series of built in challenges to test the competitor’s skill and ingenuity. Any financial support you can offer for this event would be very much appreciated.
